Our 50-year class reunion will be held this summer at The Alloy Hotel in King of Prussia, PA, (formerly the Hilton) on Saturday, July 9th, from 5-11 p.m. The plan is to meet and greet longtime friends at 5 p.m. while hors d'oeuvres are being served, and then there will be a plated dinner with a variety of choices starting at 6:30. There will also be a cash bar, with one free drink ticket per person.
Music will be provided by the popular local band AM Radio, who will have many folks dancing the night away! Tickets – thanks to a generous donation – are only $60 per person, the same price they were in 2012 and 2017. Information on how to purchase them lies below.
Reunions are a great opportunity to reconnect with classmates and start new friendships. In 2017 we had a great time at the 45-year reunion that was held at The Great American Pub in Conshohocken. 80+ plus guests were there, and with this year being the Big 50, we are hoping to get at least 100 classmates, spouses, and friends to attend.
We’ve been able to locate about 60% of the class, and we still welcome any information leading to others. On the class web page here there is a list of people that are still missing, so if you know any of these people, please have them get in touch or you can send us their contact information.
Smart casual dress attire is suggested. Spouses and significant others are encouraged to attend, as well as friends from other classes.
Tickets
To make our reunion go as smoothly as possible, we are encouraging people to make a commitment to attend as early as you can. The cost will be fully refunded if there is another virus variant outbreak. Buying tickets is easy to do. Just go to this PayPal link where they can be obtained with a credit card. Or, if you prefer, you can send a check to Tim Seiders at 1403 Oak Circle, Lansdale, PA, 19446. The check should be made out to “Class of 1972 50-Year Reunion Committee.”
Hotel rooms
For folks coming from out of town or for those that don’t want to drive home afterwards, there was a block of 20 rooms available on the 8th and 9th at the Alloy for the rate of $139. This block of rooms is already filled, and since the hotel will be sold out on these dates, the additional block of rooms that are left are mini-suites starting at $164. Rooms can be reserved by calling (610) 337-1200. Mention “Upper Merion Class of 1972 Reunion.”
